The province of Saskatchewan has revised and released the SINP’s In-demand Occupation list on April 4, 2019, forecasting occupations that are expected to be in demand over the next five years.

There are two sub-categories under the international skilled worker category of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), which require no job-offer in the province, however, work experience is must for the following two categories:

-         In-demand Occupations

-         Express Entry linked SINP

Under the ‘Enhanced’ nomination streams, Canadian provinces and territories, if nominate the candidates from the in-demand occupations, will assist the candidates in the express entry with additional 600 points, assuring the invitation to apply for the permanent residence.

The revised in-demand occupation list for the province of Saskatchewan is given below:

*Note: These occupations do not mandate for any licensure.

2019 Revisions in the list

There are 24 new additions to the province’s in-demand occupations, which is one of an important eligibility criterion to nominate a candidate for provincial nomination. A total of 9 occupations are taken off from the list.

A shoot out to candidates who have acquired experience, in the above-given in-demand occupations, to submit the Expression of Interest to obtain the province’s nomination.

Benefits under SINP

As per the provincial government, certain benefits are offered to SINP applicants such as:

-         Flexible and competitive processing times for the application

-         Receive assistance from the provincial immigration officers who are available to explain program requirements and processes.

Although the province accepts a certain number of applications for each category each year for the above two categories, there are no thresholds.

To apply for the nomination under SINP, the applicant is required to obtain and complete all the necessary federal and provincial forms required for the application. Further, review and organize your completed forms and supporting documents to make sure you complete the application package.
