Nova Scotia offering a Brief Opportunity.Nova Scotia has reopened one of its most popular Express Entry-linked immigration categories for up to 225 new applicants on November 17. Popular by the name of Category B of the Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry Steam, it is one of four immigration pathways that allow the Atlantic Canada province to nominate candidates in the federal government’s Express Entry system for Canadian permanent residence. Category B is popular with Express Entry candidates because it does not require a job offer or Canadian work experience in order to apply. It also does not require a minimum Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking Score, which is used to determine a candidate’s rank in the Express Entry pool. It functions on a first-come, first-served basis and applicants who obtain a nomination from Nova Scotia are awarded an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System points. This leaves candidates well-positioned for an Invitation to Apply for Canadian permanent residence in a future Express Entry draw.
Nova Scotia has updated their target occupation list. To be eligible for Category B of the NSDEE you must have one year of continuous full-time work in one of the following in-demand occupations:
