Express Entry Target

Good news for Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates! On June 19th, 2024, the IRCC held an Express Entry draw specifically targeting PNP nominees. Consequently, if you were in the pool with a PNP nomination and a CRS score of at least 663, you might be one of the lucky 1,499 individuals who received an invitation to apply (ITA) for permanent residency in Canada.

The CRS cut-off for this draw dropped 13 points to 663. This could mean more PNP nominees received an ITA.

What is the tie-breaking rule for CRS 663 and the 60-day response period for EE invitations?

The tie-breaking rule implies that if multiple candidates have a CRS score of 663, then the cut-off will be determined by the date and time they submitted their profiles.

Additionally, invited candidates will now have 60 days to respond to the invitations by submitting complete applications that support the details provided in their EE profiles.

What is Express Entry?

Express Entry is a system used to manage applications for three of Canada’s major economic immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP).

These programs utilize the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to assess candidates based on factors like age, work experience, language skills, occupation, and education.
